Privacy policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

This policy covers Arke TV, the Arke Apple TV app, and the hosted service at heyarke.com, operated by Mick Ryan. It explains the information used to pair your TV, deliver messages, and manage access. A gateway run by someone else is subject to that operator’s privacy practices.

Information we handle

How we use it

We use this information to sign you in, pair devices, deliver and display messages, manage sharing, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and respond to support requests. The app also stores settings and device credentials on your Apple TV. Browser cookies keep you signed in and protect account actions.

Who can receive it

Your messages appear on the TV you select. Anyone who can see that screen can read them. People you give access to can use the sharing permissions you grant. Avoid sending sensitive information to a shared screen.

Service providers process information needed to run Arke, including hosting, network delivery, and authentication. Twilio processes phone verification requests. Apple processes Sign in with Apple and TestFlight distribution; Apple’s own privacy terms apply to those services. If you connect an assistant or another third-party app, it receives the access you approve and handles information under its own privacy policy.

If you use a weather channel, Apple WeatherKit receives the board’s approximate location to return the forecast, and the board shows Apple Weather’s attribution.

We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the service and its users. Messages pass through our server and are not end-to-end encrypted.

How long information stays

Message history is kept for 30 days. The hosted service schedules routine deletion of message records 30 days after acceptance; a pinned message is kept while it stays pinned. Cleanup runs periodically, so deletion is not instantaneous. Saved boards, saved default boards, board settings, account details, device records, and access settings are kept to provide the service until removed or no longer needed.

Webhook payloads are cleared after processing or expiry. Webhook event records and duplicate-request protection are retained for 48 hours from acceptance, then removed by periodic cleanup.

Logs, backups, and records needed for security, resolving disputes, or legal obligations may remain longer than the active message record. Deleting a server record does not erase content already displayed, copied, or retained by someone else.

Your choices and requests

You can manage sharing and connected access using the controls provided by Arke. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated information, email [email protected]. Use the phone number or sign-in method associated with your account to help identify it, but do not send passwords, verification codes, or private keys. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Uninstalling the TV app does not delete your hosted account. Disconnect third-party services separately if you also want them to stop retaining information they received.

Children and changes

Arke accounts are intended for adults managing their household displays. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can address it.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
